Contract Manager • Advises and influences legal contracts with external stakeholders/3rd parties for all business functions. • Establishes, documents and trains on Legal Contract process. Monitors contract compliance. • Works with business partners to create contracts for both revenue and expense related activity. • Creates and reviews standard agreement/contract templates and cooperate with Legal to finalize contract/addendum/master templates. • Liaises with Legal for the local contract needs analysis, template creation, modification and approval, master agreement included. • Coordinates and collects approval from Legal when required by Global Contract Review Policy. • Acts as first point of contact for inquiries on contracts for all functions within affiliate and provide guidance on contracts and addenda. Data Privacy • Works with Legal and Affiliate to ensure appropriate privacy and confidentiality consent, authorization forms, and information notices and materials reflecting current organization and legal practices and requirements. • Oversees, directs, delivers, or ensures delivery of privacy training and orientation to all employees, their agents, and other appropriate third parties. • Administers the process for receiving, documenting, tracking, and takes action on all complaints concerning Biogen’s privacy policies and procedures in coordination with Compliance and Legal. • Initiates, facilitates, and promotes activities to foster data privacy awareness within the organizations and related entities. • Serves as data privacy consultant to the organization for all departments and appropriate entities. • Manage privacy notifications within various Affiliate processes and tools • Conduct Veeva Call note monitoring to ensure appropriate and responsible communication Transparency • Supports the Affiliate in business readiness and the implementation of appropriate systems and controls to ensure compliance with applicable anticipated changes in provincial, federal, and global transparency reporting • Understanding provincial, federal, and global transparency reporting requirements, acts as Affiliate Project Coordinator/Lead to identify resources with the specific transactional and operational knowledge • Establish, document, and train on Transparency Program and monitor contract compliance • Manages reporting, documentation, and aggregation of information. Approves together with the Managing Director to ensure timely publication of results as required Qualifications • Degree in Law or Paralegal Certification, preferably with experience in life sciences • 3 to 5 years of experience in similar role or several years of experience in law firm as a paralegal • Data driven with attention to detail • Experience with policy and procedure drafting and management • Process management, project/program management skills are an asset • Excellent and professional communication skills • Appreciation for good governance with ethical and integrity-driven approach and objectivity Education • Degree in Law or Paralegal Certification, preferably with experience in life sciences
