We are seeking a Billing Clerk for a 6 month assignment in Vancouver, BC. This position is responsible for numerous accounting duties including accounts receivable, billing preparation, payroll time entry, and associated reporting.

Ledcor Technical Services (LTS) designs, builds, and maintains wireline or wireless networks that span North America and beyond. We are a proven leader and innovator in telecommunications network construction, maintenance, and service installation and repair.

Responsibilities

• Process and audit billable transactions in a timely and accurate manner
• Ability to reconcile data sets between systems
• Escalate problems with appropriate discretion and expedite resolution to any issues
• Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of tools and processes necessary to extract and manipulate data for recurring and ad-hoc reporting
• Maintain logical and secure filing system for electronic and hard copy source documents
• Maintain strong working relationships with project team members, client representatives and other key stakeholders

Requirements

• Strong proficiency with computerized systems (primarily Microsoft Excel, and JD Edwards accounting system)
• Post-secondary business degree or similar would be considered an asset
• Have 1-3 years of working accounting experience
• Exceptionally well-organized and able to multi-task
• Self-motivator who can work independently in carrying out assignments to completion.
• Excellent communications skills – ability to compose effective and accurate correspondence
• Possess assertiveness yet use discretionary tactics in communicating
• Good judgment and able to handle highly confidential matters
