Benevity is seeking both front-end and back-end software developers to design and build applications that enable the business to exceed our clients’ expectations.

What you will do

Be an integral part of building and maintaining Benevity’s Goodness Platform

Work closely with Benevity’s UX team to bring inspiring online experiences to life

Ensure that front end interfaces adhere to web accessibility standards

Join one of several development teams to write, modify, enhance and test either Javascript, HTML and CSS code.

Participate in estimating exercises, code reviews, documentation and testing

Help to ensure code is maintainable

Work with QA to ensure that adequate coverage tests are being performed

What you bring

Professional experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Javascript framework knowledge, VueJS a big plus

Experience working within a web framework creating custom functionality

Front-end workflow toolchain knowledge (Babel, CSS preprocessors, bundles & build tools, automated testing)

Capacity to reverse engineer existing code and recreating using the latest best practices

Ability to build rapid prototypes for proof of concepts

An understanding the underlying systems on which web applications are developed

An eye for design, and ability to craft WCAG accessible user experiences

Version Control Systems, Git preferred

Bonus Skills

Sass (SCSS), CSS3, MTML5

Bootstrap, responsive web design

Experience with front-end analytics

Familiarity with agile development and formalized quality assurance

Experience working in the SaaS environment (Software as a Service)

Appreciation for the complexity of delivering large scale solutions to enterprise level clients

Experience working with non-profits

Experience working with remote teams
