Name and description of hiring department:

VNSS Organization, VoIP-UC Service Operation (VSO)

The group is responsible for monitoring and maintenance of various systems and applications in telephony ( VoIP) hosted on different platforms. Highly involved in the trouble management and resolution over Hosted platform system

These systems are located over OSI layer 1-2-3 (switches, routers, aggregators), SIP with Oracle SBC, servers (IBM, HP) and many customer and server applications

Job Duties / Accountabilities:

The successful candidate will work on the development of tools for VoIP platforms such as Bell, Edgewater, Oracle SBC, BroadSoft, MPLS, etc. The candidate will be specifically involved in our use of tools for monitoring and managing these platforms and applications like PRTG (API) and Splunk. The candidate will also be involved in the continuous improvement tools and scripts developed internally

Essential Qualifications / Skills:

  • Knowledge of operating systems Unix / Linux and Windows Server
  • Basic Knowledge on IP networks, switching equipment, routing
  • Bilingualism, French and English

Preferred Technical skills:

  • Proficient in Python, Perl, Shell Scripting, ASP
  • Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, CSS and web content development
  • Understanding of relational databases and experience with SIPp is an advantage
  • Knowledge on SIP protocol

Working Conditions:

  • Environment operating 24 /7
