Job Description (EN):
Position Summary
The Calgary office of BDO Canada LLP is seeking a full-time Junior Accounting Analyst to join our rapidly growing Outsourcing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing bookkeeping and accounting services to our clients. Candidates must be adaptable to the multiple demands of the position and be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. Our clients include businesses of various sizes in hospitality, manufacturing, and construction. We also service many small businesses and self-employed professionals.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Processes daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly financial transactions into Microsoft NAV and other accounting software.
  • Preparation of financial statements, bank reconciliations and tax remittances.
  • Keeps Manager informed on status of files and issues as required.
  • Receives/reviews client documents.
  • Prepares documentation for bookkeeping engagements.

Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge

  • 1-2 years of experience of hands-on, bookkeeping and/or accounting experience. Experience within a client facing experience is preferred.
  • Completion of high school diploma and in pursuit of, or have completed, post-secondary diploma or certificate in Accounting or Business
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office computer programs (Outlook, Excel and Word)
  • Willingness to work with different applications and systems
  • High attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize workloads, manage multiple tasks and deadlines
