The Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) leads strategy, policy and standards for telecommunications, information technology, IT security and the management of the IM/IT investment portfolio for the Province. The OCIO is accountable for the operation of a broad government technology infrastructure as a key enabler in support of business transformation for Government, Broader Public Sector organizations and through participation inter-jurisdictionally on initiatives to evolve technology and business.
The Provincial Identity Information Management (IDIM) Program provides ministries and broader public service organizations with identity, authentication and integration technologies and services to enable employees, businesses and citizens to have access to government programs, services and information – either in person or online.
The Security Analayst is to conduct Threat Risk Assessments; lead the development of policies and standards for security information systems; provide security architecture planning; research and investigate incidents, threats, and exposures, and implement controls and risk-reducing measures to mitigate the threat of future exposures.

In order to be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below:
•Degree or 2-year diploma, in the computer science field; or a valid Certified Information Systems Security Professional certificate issued by (ISC)2; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Minimum of six months’ recent experience coordinating work activities across multiple technical teams. Preference may be given to applicants with more than six months recent experience.
Minimum of 1 years’ recent experience in:
•Application development or support,
•Software administration of server operating systems, or enterprise applications, or middleware, or databases.
Preference may be given to applicants with more than 1 year’s recent experience in either or both of the above.
•Experience in identifying and evaluating risks from a business and technological standpoint.
Preference may be given to those who possess the following IT security certifications:
•Certified Information Security manager issued by (ISC)2
•Certified Ethical Hacker issued by EC-Council
•GIAC Penetration Tester issued by SANS/GIAC
•Or equivalent industry recognized IT security certifications.
•Preference may be given to those with 6 or more months’ recent experience completing formal Security Threat and Risk Assessments of computer systems or preparing hardware and/or software test plans and assessing results.
