ISL 24R – Intermediate Spatial Technical Analyst

Salary: $59,449.17 – $67,894.79 annually + 6.6% Temporary Market Adjustment

**Temporary Opportunity for approximately 1 year

The DataBC program provides government wide leadership and technical expertise to establish, develop, implement, maintain, and promote the Open Data initiative, the Enterprise Spatial Data Infrastructure and Data Management strategies. This requires coordination of data administration activities for both enterprise and open data performed by data managers, administrators and architects across all sectors of government.

The Spatial Technical Analyst is responsible for managing the BC Government Map Hub service, including building, configuring and troubleshooting applications using web application templates, web app builder and the DataBC Mash-up Framework. The position builds and manages client user communities, leads client IT projects related to web mapping, manages user security, governance models and roles, and ensures connectivity through web service APIs and enterprise authentication connectivity to third party software products. It also develops and provides IT training courses related to web mapping and supports service testing and change control for DataBC’s entire suite web mapping services and related technology.
