Salary: $49,431.92 to $56,219.57 annually

1 Permanent Full Time Opportunity; and

1 Temporary Assignment until January 31, 2016

Serving all levels of government, citizens of BC and clients around the world, the Business Service Desk in the Information Management Branch provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for more than 350 business applications. This includes the response/investigation/resolution/escalation for a variety of calls, emails and tickets. The Business Service Desk addresses system incompatibilities, identifies options for resolution and supports the implementation of Ministry business applications across all parts of the natural resource sector.

Our office provides a variety of workplace options including flexible schedules and mobile / traditional office workers. To be considered for this position your resume must clearly demonstrate that you have the following:

Education & Experience:
Diploma or certification in a field related to computer science; OR

An equivalent combination of education, training and/or a minimum 2 years’ experience may be considered.

Preference may be given to applicants with:
Demonstrated experience providing customer support services in an information technology environment or helping end users to use and understand computer hardware and software.

Mainframe and Windows experience.
