R11/ $41,595.74 – $47,060.66
Temporary, greater than 7 months, Full-Time/ Vancouver.

The Liquor Distribution Branch is one of Canada’s largest distributors and retailers of beverage alcohol. At the Liquor Distribution Branch we are driven by innovation and have a passion for the future and are looking for a dynamic professional to join our team.

The Finance Project Coordinator is an integral member of the Finance-Retail Team responsible supporting the rollout of new complex, large retail systems to the BC Liquor Stores including a new Point of Sale (POS), Point of Return (POR) and Enterprise Store Operations systems (ESO), including all changes required to Finance back end processes.

The Finance Project Coordinator provides technical project management coordination throughout the project management life-cycle including planning, execution, control and close-out, and is responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project activities.

Qualifications:

Education & Recent, Related Experience:

Successful completion of a post secondary diploma or degree in a related discipline.

Significant recent, related administrative experience in a high volume office environment with:

Experience working in a project management department, Finance department, or Project teams within a large organization OR successful completion of project management courses with basic accounting knowledge.

Completion of courses in accounting/budgeting or experience working with financials/budgets in a large organization.

Experience working in Retail or Supply Chain organization/industry preferred.

* An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.

Knowledge:

Exposure to and knowledge of project management principles and practices

Exposure to and knowledge of basic accounting framework and accounting principles

Skills and Abilities:

Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong presentation/facilitation abilities.

Ability to work independently and achieve deadlines within tight timelines while managing multiple priorities.

Ability to communicate complex information in a manner than can be understood by the audience.

Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external clients.

Proficiency with MS Office (in particular PowerPoint).

Ability to demonstrate basic understanding of SharePoint and MS Project Server.
