Salary $38,373.45 – $43,417.29 annually
This position is entitled to an isolation allowance of $47.84 bi-weekly

A job opportunity exists for a full time Team Assistant for the Ministry of Children and Family Development. This is a busy multi-service office that requires a high level of tact, discretion, ability to handle stress, and ability to multi-task. The successful candidate would have strong communication and organizational skills, as well as being a team player who is willing and able to be adaptable and flexible.

As the Team Assistant, you provide administrative support services to social workers, clinicians, team leaders and probation officers. An important aspect of your position will involve preparing and maintaining records and reports needed for case management. You will be required to have a good understanding of the professional staff’s requirements, court processes, and case management techniques as well as a good understanding of programs and community resources. You will be creative in word processing and spreadsheet creation and maintenance and you will excel with numbers and details.

To be considered for this position your resume must clearly demonstrate that you have the following:

– Secondary school graduation or equivalent;

– Preference may be given to applicants with a combination of three years of administrative support experience, education and/or training.

– Experience in keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and other standard computer applications (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email) would be an asset.

– Experience providing client services.

– 40 to 50 words per minute keyboarding speed (Applicants may be required to produce a current typing certificate).

– Preference may be given to applicants with experience ICM, MIS, CRMS and CARIS data systems.
