As Regional Manager, Compliance and Enforcement, you are responsible for ensuring the principles of natural justice and administrative fairness are understood and respected as you guide the strategic direction for the Compliance and Enforcement Branch. A motivational leader for a team of dynamic and dedicated employees, you provide training, coaching and mentorship to assist in improving team efficiency. Collaborating with a group of senior professionals, you lead the development and oversee the implementation of regional plans, budgets, operating policies and procedures. Applying your expertise in administrative law and natural justice, you assist with the interpretation of legislation and policy and conduct in-depth research and analysis to determine improvements for regional programs and strategic directions. To be considered for this position your resume must clearly demonstrate that you have the following:

• Diploma or degree in natural resource or forestry management, or equivalent (equivalent is defined as a secondary school diploma and 10 years of experience in the natural resource sector).

• Five years of related compliance and enforcement experience.

• Three years of current (within the last five years) experience managing and operating a program, a significant portion of a program or a major project. This experience will include annual business and budgetary planning, allocating resources, implementing the program, and monitoring achievements.

• Experience leading and supervising staff and other teams including developing and evaluating performance goals, coaching and training staff, team building, developing and mentoring and performance management. Preference will be given to those candidates with at least three years’ current (within the last five years) experience.

• Experience and ability building and maintaining cooperative and productive relationships and effectively liaising with internal and external stakeholders. Preference will be given to those candidates with at least three years’ current (within the last five years) experience.

• Valid B.C. driver’s license.
