Business Process and Procedure Writer
Salary: 49,431 – 56,219 annually

As a Business Process and Procedure Writer, you will research and analyze, develop, organize, write and edit procedures and related documents. The focus is documentation used by Pension Corporation staff but can include clients including employers, members, and boards. Using your knowledge of standard technical writing methods, you will work collaboratively with Subject Matter Experts, Business Analysts, and working groups to prepare materials clearly and concisely.

Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Degree, diploma or certificate in Technical Writing or Instructional Design, English or related field;
  • Two years’ experience writing procedures or other related documentation in a highly complex technical business field;
  • Experience using web development software; HTML and DITA publishing programs, e-learning authoring tools, graphics applications, flowchart software, etc.;
  • Experience applying topic based authoring standards;
  • Experience analyzing business processes and procedures;
  • Experience navigating a complex corporate policies and procedures intranet site.
  • An equivalent combination of related education, training and experience may be considered.

A written assessment and oral interview will be conducted as part of this competition. Applicants who are selected for testing will be required to complete an assessment at home using the following computer software/systems:
