Providing licensing information to a wide variety of people—government officials, warranty companies, builders, realtors, lawyers, notaries, homeowners and the public—will be the centerpiece of your daily activities. Your guidance will help your customers to navigate regulations related to the Homeowner Protection Act , department policies and processes as well as online applications, complaints and warranty claims.

With two years’ office experience, you have built a background that includes working with the public, providing basic bookkeeping and working with a variety of software programs. You also have a good understanding of legislation related to licensing and home registrations as well as an unfailing sense of confidentiality and top-notch problem-solving skills. Your communication skills will be key as you apply your knowledge of legislation and regulations to assess and explain a customer’s eligibility for programs.

In undertaking its activities the HPO also works closely with warranty providers, building officials, industry and related consumer associations, all levels of government, educational institutions, research organizations, architects, engineers, property managers, the legal community and the real estate community.
