Real Property Division (RPD) is a division of Shared Services BC (SSBC) within the Ministry of Technology, Innovation and Citizens’ Services. RPD provides everything needed to design, set up and manage a workplace for government ministries and broader public sector clients. RPD manages, on behalf of the Province, a diverse real estate portfolio of leased and owned properties that extend throughout the province.

As Property Management Services Superintendent, you lead the day to day management and oversight of the province wide outsourcing agreement and its related services with Brookfield Global Integrated Solutions – WSI (Brookfield GIS-WSI). You are responsible for monitoring the contract deliverables and performance of Brookfield GIS-WSI to ensure service and standards meet contract requirements, compliance with RPD’s stewardship plans and priorities, quality customer service, and preservation of Government’s buildings and systems asset integrity.

Highly expert, you apply technical, program and portfolio knowledge to facility operations, maintenance services, environmental and regulatory compliance, and in conducting on-site inspections, problem solving issues, providing advice to a variety of stakeholders and key information for the improvement of RPD business operations. You possess excellent communication and leadership skills, capably establishing effective working relationships, advising and training staff, fostering a positive and team oriented work environment, and collaborating with senior management in the development of key performance measures, methodologies and targets, and in the management of client relationships, programs and policy. You participate in the development and enhancement of contract management processes and tools to ensure BGIS-WSI service performance and deliverables align with contract obligations, provide contact interpretation to ensure contract policies and procedures are followed, escalate contract issues and recommend updates to improve services or reduce costs. Using your financial planning and budgeting expertise, you advise on local operations budgets and major asset repair and capital replacement plans, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, and working to minimize IWS financial and asset risks. Your ability to use sound judgement in resolving escalating issues and maintain confidentiality on sensitive matters is essential.

Travel is a requirement of this position. A valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence is required. Provincial vehicle will be supplied. Driving in difficult terrain in challenging weather conditions is required.
