Business Analyst

Salary: $59,449.17 – $67,894.79 annually + 6.6% Temporary Market Adjustment

The Information Systems Branch is responsible for ensuring that appropriate and necessary information management services are provided to all business and client areas of the Ministry of Community, Sport and Cultural Development, the Ministry of Jobs, Tourism and Skills Training, the Ministry of International Trade, and the Ministry of Small Business and Red Tape Reduction. This is accomplished by providing clients with planning assistance; the skills necessary to determine business requirements; conducting feasibility analysis of the appropriate information management services and technology; and by ensuring that services and technology solutions are assembled and delivered to meet business needs.

In a role that calls for skilled information management and project delivery, you work closely with our senior client management team to define a diversity of business requirements. Your experience in analyzing client requirements, expectations and priorities and effective communication skills prove invaluable in this key role as you assist non-technical ministry staff develop and implement systems solutions for their individual business needs. Working in a dynamic and results-oriented work environment with frequently changing issues and priorities, you conduct systems analysis and planning, feasibility and business case definition. You participate in solution procurement activities and work with application development teams and contracted service providers to ensure business user needs are met.
