Our cashiers are vital to the success of our garden centre. As a cashier, you will ensure our customers receive courteous service when purchasing their garden items, provide information on products and services, and address customers’ special needs.

As a key role in the store you are the last direct point of contact with the customer and are vital in leaving a lasting impression! Through your interaction with customers you will ensure they are able to purchase their garden products quickly and efficiently. At the same time, you will be called upon to provide information in response to inquiries about products or services as well as handling and resolving customer concerns. Those that thrive on giving a customer the ultimate in service will excel here. An outgoing personality and strong communication skills will ensure success in this role.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbally and in writing.

Ensure the accuracy of the products and the prices listed on the invoice;

Strong computer skills including operating a cash terminal and handling debit/credit cards

Submit various documents to customers and package the purchased goods

Able to compute simple numerical problems

Can work effectively as a team and independently

Able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

Must be available to work shifts/weekends/overtime, as required.
