Description
This position reports to the Senior Vice President, Business Development & Relationship Management.

Main challenges

The successful candidate will be responsible for the relationship management and retention of existing clients within assigned business segment. They will deliver exceptional client experience and consolidate assets of existing clients and develop new business opportunities with existing clients, while working with service, risk and trading teams to ensure clients expectations are met. They will also work with internal partners to introduce cross-selling of other products and services.

Specifically, you will:

  • Acquire new clients and ensure retention of existing clients within their assigned business segment
  • Develop strong network and external centres of influence
  • Execute annual client retention plans with the focus on high valued clients and firms with potential for consolidation or growth
  • Lead regular client meetings and annual reviews with high valued clients
  • Gain knowledge of the clients and their profitability, recommend pricing changes and close deals/contracts
  • Gather market intelligence through a variety of sources
  • Identify and evaluate developing industry trends
  • Provide input into the development of sales and marketing materials

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 5 years’ relevant experience OR Master’s Degree in a related field and 3 years’ relevant experience
  • Completion of CFA is considered an asset
  • Sales experience in a business to business environment
  • Solid understanding of front and back office requirements for broker dealers, portfolio and hedge fund managers
  • Excellent knowledge of the industry structure and overall market knowledge
  • Demonstrated territory management and client relationship management skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to be a self-starter and entrepreneurial
  • Fluent in English and French is an asset
