Description
This position report to the Senior Manager
Main responsabilities:
Responsible for general administration and for ongoing administrative support for the professional activities of the Special Loans Unit.
Interact with different business units across the country as required
Coordinate communication with syndicated loan parties across the country, ensure efficient communications are conducted with respect to all syndicated loan material
Support the Special Loans team consisting of Managers, Sr. Managers, V.P. and administrative technical support personnel.
Input, analyze , interpret and provide information relevant for decision making purposes and comment on observed variances in a variety of reports as requested by management
Collect and compile and assess the pertinence of information necessary for the production of administrative reports
Assist the Sr. Managers and Managers in coordinating the logistics of travel and meetings
Conduct analysis of Accounts receivable and Accounts payable data to determine borrowing base availablilty for clients as required
Conduct fulsome analysis as required by the managers: security, account activity, overdraft reports, expiries, etc.
Produce documents and presentations for senior management of Risk Management Group
Manage physical and electronic files
Control costs and revenues related to the units business activities, while respecting the budgets for which the unit is responsible
Improve business processes in collaboration with more experienced staff, propose improvements
Apply the norms, policies and procedures in effect at the Bank
Identify credit, operational or compliance problems and risks based on existing standards
Rigorous follow up on files as required, including use of electronic tools to track financial results of clients relative to plan and to flag any variances to Special Loans Manager and Sr. Managers.
Qualifications
Business or Economics Degree or the academic equivalent in a related sector of activity and three years of relevant experience.
Excellent command of ICOP, MRA, FRR, and GRC web, ACBS, LIS, TAMS systems, ISM catalogue, Access to Cheque Images, and Bank Intranet
Excellent command of Oil & Gas Energy lending model, loan run input and analysis
Excellent analytical ability with regard to Reserve Reports of Oil and Gas Producers
Strong knowledge of Bank policies and procedures
Experience supporting a team of professionals
High degree of competence in managing security and renewals agenda system
Ability to interact effectively with senior executive management
Strong knowledge of Banking Sector, specifically insolvency and commercial and corporate banking
Inter- cultural competencies, with creative problem solving abilities
Ability to work autonomously, show strong initiative, and adapt to wide variety of tasks in changing environment
Excellent command of Word, Excel, Power Point
Strong knowledge of Bank policies and procedures
Excellent oral and writing skills in English, good proficiency in French
Travel will be required
