Condition:

This is a one-year contract position (Full time) with a possibility of extension. Competitive salary with fully paid MSP and Group Medical Plan coverage after 3 months.

Must-haves:

・ Fluent in Japanese (equivalent to Level 1 of Japanese Language Proficiency test)

・ Fluent in English (equivalent to IELTS band score 7.5 or higher)

・ Proficiency in MS Office

・ Typing speed of min 40 words per minute.

・ Strong business writing skills

・ Professional on the phone

・ Ability to multi-task and change priorities on an ongoing basis

・ Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of individuals from diverse backgrounds at all levels

Nice-to-haves:

・ 1-2 years of office administration experience in Canada

・ Knowledge of video game industry and terminology

・ Previous translation/interpreting experience (Japanese-English, English-Japanese)

The duties will include but not limited to:

Administration and General Affairs related duties:

・ Provide administrative support to management and other staff

・ Update and ensure the accuracy of the company’s administrative databases

・ Backup electronic files using proper procedures

・ Direct calls and respond to inquiries

・ Take minutes at meetings

・ Organize and schedule meetings and appointments

・ Maintain contact lists

・ Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms

・ Preparation of regularly scheduled reports to our HQ in Tokyo.

・ Order office supplies and maintain inventory within the budget

・ Book travel arrangements

・ Ensure overall office tidiness

・ Duties related to building, facilities, furniture and fixtures

Human resources related duties:

・ Assist with job posting, recruitment process and onboarding of new hires

・ Administration of MSP Group plan

・ Administration of GWL(Great-West Life) Extended medical plan and Welcome Plan

・ Drafting offer letters to employees and contractors

・ Submitting account setup request for new hires to BNBA(our shared service center in Tokyo)

・ Assist with organizing employee events

Bookkeeping related duties:

・ Prepare and post journal entries using accounting software

・ A/P, A/R, intra-company invoicing

・ Other accounting related projects, as assigned

Translating related duties:

・ Oral and written translation (Japanese-English; English-Japanese)

・ Other administrative duties as assigned
