As part of the Construction team, the Junior Project Manager will work directly with both the Project Manager & Site Superintendent during the execution of commercial construction projects (buildings).

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

• Establish and maintain effective working relationship with clients, sub-contractors and consultants
• In collaboration with the estimation department, prepare lists of invitations-to-bid to sub-contractors
• Verify conformity of prices received from sub-contractors
• Negotiate and award sub-contractor contracts
• Prepare cost breakdown & final price to be submitted to clients
• Prepare preliminary & construction schedules
• Coordinate different aspects of the construction phase with clients, sub-contractors and consultants (shop drawings; directives; clarifications; changes orders etc…)
• Ensure effective cost-control during the construction phase

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Building Engineer or Architectural Technical Diploma
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar position
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (MS Project, Excel, Word, Adobe)
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD
• Diplôma in Project Management a plus
• Fluent in French & English (both spoken & written) essential
• Flexibility to travel as projects may require
