Job Summary

Augusta Fine Homes is a custom single-family business unit of Qualico, one of the largest fully integrated real estate companies in western Canada, and we are seeking a Design Coordinator to join our team.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Design Coordinator contributes to the success and effectiveness of the Augusta Fine Homes custom design and estimating process by providing administrative support.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Ensure all design paperwork submitted is signed and correct in the file.
  • Review all sketches, tile diagrams, flooring schedules, etc. for accuracy.
  • Create estimates for upgrades and document changes.
  • Completed design package to be uploaded to BuildPro.
  • Ensure plans reflect design changes if required.
  • Liaison between Augusta Fine Homes designers, clients and trades.
  • Follow up to ensure selections are made in timely manner and in proper order.
  • Track complete schedule.
  • Create addendums in Newstar (NSS) as required based on estimates from sub-trades.
  • Attend client meetings either on site or at a supplier showroom.
  • Assemble “Interior Selection Journey” package with applicable back-up documentation.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 3-5 Years estimating experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in office administration and or customer service.
  • Experience in residential home building industry or related field is required.
  • Interior Design experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience with NewStar Enterprise/BuildPro Scheduling system.
  • Experience in a previous role with direct communication with customers.
  • Organized and good time management.
  • Ability to prioritized quickly and effectively problem solve.
  • Understanding of confidentiality requirements.

This position works primarily in an office setting during regular business hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday.
