Salary: $2,399-$2,871 biweekly

Under the direction and leadership of the Supervisor, Accounts Payable, we are seeking an Office Senior Administrative Coordinator to join our Financial Services and Regulatory department in Calgary, AB. The Office Senior Administrative Coordinator is responsible for timely and accurate processing of Accounts Payable transactions, ensuring the validity and integrity of the recorded information in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and government regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Process supplier invoices, internal cheques requisitions and employee expense accounts.
  • Enter/audit invoice batches.
  • Enter/audit supplier account set up and maintenance invoice batches.
  • Review and resolve invoice inquiries.
  • Reconcile supplier statement to systems records.
  • Process stop payments and cheque cancellation.
  • Perform various cheque/EFT payment runs.
  • Review outstanding cheques and investigate stale-dated items.
  • Complete month end close activities and year end accruals listing.
  • Reconcile and analyze general ledger account monthly.
  • Assist with audit requirements.
  • Review, develop, document, and update accounts payable procedures.
  • Respond to telephone, email and written inquiries.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12.
  • Preference will be given to those who have or are willing to complete courses in the CPA (Professional Accounting Designation) program.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook email.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Accounts Payables and Discoverer would be an asset.
  • Must have good interpersonal and professional skills, working well individually and as part of a team.
  • Be detail oriented and have accurate data entry skills.
  • Must have strong organizational skills prioritizing competing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a high volume environment.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Actively contribute and participate in positive process improvement opportunities.
