Under direction from the Senior Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coop Student develops and implements marketing and communication plans that support ATB’s B&Ag Reputation & Brand team. The Marketing Coop Student delivers on the tactical aspects of the full marketing mix, as well as implements ideas and approaches that enhance or improve communications and meet business objectives for the B&Ag team. Duties include such aspects as writing, content development, event management, advertising, promotion, sponsorships, social media, merchandising and reporting. Specific accountabilities include but are not limited to:
Promotes and executes internal and external events in cooperation with pre-identified stakeholders. This may involve coordination of facilities, attendees, AV bookings and catering requirements as well as event materials, signage and promotional items. May also be required to attend and evaluate the event, and provide feedback to project lead.
Helps to develop, design and implement communication programs and tactics including analyzing issues, determining appropriate audiences, crafting creative messaging.
Uses a wide variety of communication tools and resources to ensure timely, consistent delivery of messaging to engage associates and appropriate avenues for feedback.
Helps to develop business to business web content, speeches, key messaging and ad copy.
Leads updates to existing product and service materials as needed under the guidance of the team.
Manages social media presence for ATB Business in coordination with corporate office and provides periodic performance reporting to team and as requested for event debriefs.
Leads activities that fall under the We Grow Alberta ( www.atb.com/wegrowalberta ) creative platform. This can be the execution of Social Media, events, development of content.
Works with internal stakeholders to maintain and share awareness of industry events, competitor’s products and marketing initiatives in order to meet the needs of evolving needs of customers in a timely, value-added fashion.
Manages promotional item inventory, places orders, promotes & creates awareness within our internal partners and helps them access the invoices.
Leads small or limited scope projects by planning, allocating, monitoring and controlling resources, along with being a liaison with the design team if marketing materials are required.
Collaborates with other areas of expertise in order to support project questions, meet customer service requirements and resolve issues or concerns
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution in a Marketing program (minimum 1 year of post-secondary required).
Strong communication, marketing and organizational skills including development of strong relationships with external and internal partners.
Strong verbal and written communications skills and proficiency in social media.
Detail and results oriented.
Time management skills with the ability to multitask, and problem solve.
Productive, adaptable, reliable and responsible.
Good team player, leadership abilities (abilities or attributes).
Proficient computer skills – specifically Microsoft office especially word and excel. Experience with SharePoint would be an asset.
Must have valid driver’s license to travel to and from events around the province.
Enthusiastic with the ability to meet the challenges of working in a changing environment.
Travel and attendance at events after work hours may be required.
