As part of the Reputation & Brand team within ATB B&Ag, the Co-op Student will work directly the Director, Communication and Sr. Manager, Agriculture Marketing to develop and implement communications and marketing plans for a variety of projects.
Regular duties include writing, content development, event management, advertising, promotion, sponsorships, social media and reporting. Specific accountabilities include but are not limited to:
Write regular content for the B&Ag weekly internal newsletter.
Help to develop, design and implement communication programs and tactics including analyzing issues, determining appropriate audiences, crafting creative messaging.
Promote and execute internal and external events in cooperation with pre-identified stakeholders.
Use a wide variety of communication tools and resources to ensure timely, consistent delivery of messaging to engage associates and appropriate avenues for feedback.
Lead updates to existing internal product and service materials as needed under the guidance of the team.
Help provide content and manage social media presence for ATB Agriculture.
Lead small or limited scope projects by planning, allocating, monitoring and controlling resources, along with being a liaison with the design team if communications/marketing materials are required.
Collaborate with other areas of expertise in order to support project questions, meet customer service requirements and resolve issues or concerns.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Currently enrolled in a post-secondary institution in a Communications/Marketing program with a minimum of 1 year complete.
Strong communication, marketing and organizational skills including demonstrated capacity to develop strong relationships with external and internal partners.
Strong verbal and written communications skills and proficiency in social media.
Detail and results oriented.
Time management skills with the ability to multitask, and problem solve.
Productive, adaptable, reliable and responsible.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with leadership abilities.
Proficient computer skills – specifically Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with SharePoint would be an asset.
Must have valid driver’s license to travel to and from events around the province.
Enthusiastic with the ability to meet the challenges of working in a changing environment.
Travel and attendance at events after work hours may be required.
