Reconciliation Accountant – ATB Investor Services

ATB Investor Services (“ATBIS”) is the wealth management division of ATB Financial. The primary focus of the Reconciliation Accountant is to perform daily reconciliations on a variety of bank and internal control accounts, identifying any outages and ensuring any issues are corrected in a timely manner. The role also estimates the daily cash position to ensure optimal amount of cash is remaining at the end of each business day. Furthermore, this role completes monthly reconciliations and ensures that all Client Mutual Fund/Security positions match the positions at the Custodian, as well other testing to ensure Regulatory compliance. Lastly, the role also reviews and enters all ATB Investor Services invoices into the accounting system in an accurate and timely manner.

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • A degree in Business or Accounting or equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Strong proficiency with daily, monthly account reconciliations and the ability to clarify and problem solve discrepancies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, a positive attitude and an aptitude for building great relationships.
  • Accounts payable experience such as coding invoices, preparing vouchers for payments and issuing cheque, EFT, stop payments as required.
  • Basic knowledge of investment and securities industry, products, and services is a definite asset.
  • A high degree of detail orientation and organization, together with the ability to meet deadlines and multi-task.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience with SAP, Dataphile.
