Portfolio Associate – ATB Investor Services ATB Investor Services (“ATBIS”) is the wealth management division of ATB Financial. We are looking for a Portfolio Associate to be a part of the ATB Investment Management Inc.’s (ATBIM) portfolio management team. As the Portfolio Associate you will hold the responsibility for the administration of the portfolio management system and the performance calculations for all portfolios managed by ATBIM. This also includes ensuring the ongoing integrity and accuracy of ATBIM’s client and fund records including cash and security positions as well as performance calculations. The Portfolio Associate acts as a primary contact for the portfolio management system and will liaise with the Portfolio Managers, other Portfolio Associates, Investment Operations Group, Finance and other internal business units. Job Requirements
THE CANDIDATE

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • University/college degree or equivalent work experience in accounting/bookkeeping
  • Completion of the Canadian Securities Course
  • Minimum 3 years related industry experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Thorough knowledge of Portfolio Accounting functions
  • Thorough knowledge of the performance evaluation process – industry sectors, indexes, reasonableness of results
  • General knowledge of the investment industry
  • Knowledge of the GIPS performance presentation standards
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Good oral and written communication skills
