The Opportunity:

The Customer Experience Specialist (CES) is responsible for fulfilling a diverse collection of activities and processes for B&Ag sales team members by providing hands-on complex administrative support with a focus on reducing risk to ATB Financial, enhancing the customer experience and increasing sales team member’s capacity in retaining and growing relationships.

Specific accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • You administer/ prepare security documentation and interpret collateral documents while inputting them into the Collateral Management System (CMS).
  • You administer pre-disbursement review processes (checking that all loan documentation is signed, completed accurately, properly registered and meets all regulatory requirements) prior to funding.
  • You administer requests for funding through follow up with solicitors, insurance companies, relationship managers, underwriters and other parties to ensure that all required documentation is in order.
  • You analyze/interpret application for credit loan details, security requirements, covenants, conditions and other special considerations.
  • You process customer reporting of collateral security to support revolving loans (margining).
  • You set up accounts for Feeder/Breeder loans & payments in addition to reporting.
  • You provide Cash Management support: document preparation, forward to payments and channels, on boarding of customer re issues with use of software/system, password issues.
  • You identify opportunities for streamlining/amending processes.
  • You keep apprised of changes in business rules/guidelines.
  • You are a strong advocate for ATB at any public event and in the communities you work and live in.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Post secondary education in business, agriculture or related equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years of business banking experience or equivalent
  • Experience working in the areas of Collateral Management, Cash Management, Margining and / or with Feeder/Breeder loans would be considered a strong asset
  • Strong background in business lending practices and security documentation
  • In depth understanding of the SAP banking system, Cash Management systems and the Collateral Management System (CMS)
  • Demonstrated understanding of lending procedures
  • Strong capacity to think critically about business issues, processes and outcomes in order to make sound decisions
  • Ability to analyze/interpret application for credit loan details, security requirements, covenants, conditions and other special considerations
  • Ability to evaluate attractiveness of efficiency opportunities
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
