Credit Assistant – Retail
Responsible for providing assistance to Asset Management Account Managers. Responsibilities include providing administrative support in all facets dealing with the collection and finalization of non-performing consumer loan accounts. Accounts will be primarily, but not restricted to, loans comprised of real property security and non-land based security.
The primary focus of the credit assistant is to provide assistance to Account Managers and complete significantly complex administrative duties.
You will find success based on your abilities in the following areas:
Maintain the New Impaired Loans reporting and submission to Central Services.
Initial file review of new impaired loans for the Account Manager (as per check list) i.e. verify property insurance, tax status, condo fee status, lot rent status, pull copy of title, PPR search, pull security documentation etc.
Complete Foreclosure instructions to solicitors as instructed by Account Managers.
Complete Seizure instructions to Civil Enforcement Agency as instructed by Account Managers.
Where required, complete the necessary documentation to ensure that Risk Management Insurance (RMI) is placed to protect ATB’s interest. Maintain the internal recording process to identify properties covered under RMI and follow for payment of insurance premiums and completion of monthly reporting.
Complete Proofs of Claim for Bankruptcies, Consumer Proposals and/or Orderly Payment of Debts Program ensuring all necessary documentation is attached including required customer loan and/or deposit statements. Prepare revised claims when required.
Maintain Writ of Enforcement/PPR and Insurance diary system for expiry dates and renewal of same.
Complete the monthly delinquency reporting for both CMHC and Genworth.
Discharge lien and seizure notice upon receipt of sale proceeds.
Requesting Motor Vehicle searches, PPR/LTO searches, registrations and discharges in and out of Province.
Processing of sale proceeds as per check list.
Maintain the ongoing monthly condo fees/lot rents spreadsheet to ensure payment of same.
Maintain fees report on a daily basis and monthly balancing.
Maintain GST monthly reporting.
Ensure required stationary is ordered in a timely manner.
Distribution of Mail ie: Canada Post and Internal Bag Mail.

Organization and prioritization to manage heavy work load & manage multiple tasks
Strong attention to detail
Must possess strong typing, Excel and Word skills
Understanding of SAP
