As a member of the management team of the Office of the Registrar, the successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring that the Registration and Enrolment Services division of the Office is aligned to support the enrolment management activities of the Office of the Registrar and the University. The primary activities of this position include: managing the daily operations of the Registration and Enrolment Services unit; providing oversight for the planning, direction, coordinating and supervising of registration activities; overall responsibility for ensuring adherence to the University’s regulations governing registration for all students; recommending to the Registrar best practices, procedures and policies for enrolment services; developing and overseeing policies, procedures, standards and timelines for the reporting, analysis, and forecasting of student and course enrolment activities; supporting enrolment management activities by generating reports for related University committees; preparation of class schedules, issuing of certifications of enrollment, grades processing, and transcript production; classroom management; working with students, staff and faculty to solve enrolment services problems; attending meetings of faculty committees including serving as the Registrar’s voting delegate and ensuring appropriate preparation and post meeting follow-up; participating on special projects; and performing other related duties as required.
Thorough experience (5-10 years) in the operation of a University Registrar’s office; including experience in a university enrollment services section; graduation with a Masters degree in a related area; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. The candidate must also possess the ability to think strategically in order to build a student-centered operation focused on exceptional customer service; must possess considerable experience with information systems, including Banner Student Administration system, for analysis and reporting.
