ASLE Technologies Group (ATG) operates in Agriculture, Soil, Land and Environmental sectors using multidisciplinary approach. Our Agriculture program works with industry, government and growers to identify technologies to develop new strategies and formulations to serve the farming communities.

Technologist -Biology will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Processing of samples and perform analysis under the direction of Scientists and Technologists.
  • General lab work including sort and distribute, pre-processing of samples, storage, weighing and perform analysis.
  • Labeling samples and other materials.
  • Prioritize analysis, processing and manufacturing as per specific needs.
  • Follow all laboratory safety rules and regulations.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) to ensure accuracy and quality of work.

Essential Qualifications to be considered:

  • Post secondary diploma with experience or Bachelor degree (preferred) in biology/ microbiology/biochemistry
  • 1-2 years laboratory working experience in biology, microbiology and biochemical labs
  • Knowledge and experience in operating laminar flow, fermenter, microscopes and other day to day general laboratory instruments
  • Self-motivated and able to work individually and in team with good communication skills
  • Computer knowledge and skills to develop spreadsheets, presentations and documents
  • Safe driving record and strong attention to safety with valid Alberta Driver’s Licence
