Artspoints Rewards is a mission-based, social enterprise established to create sustainability for the arts by rewarding patrons when they attend the arts. It is the first loyalty program developed to meet the needs of the cultural sector.

Reporting to the Director of Partnerships & Marketing, the Outreach and Communications Manager will support all outreach and marketing initiatives in order to build awareness, to increase memberships, and to secure new ticketing clients. Artspoints has a core base of 15 – 20 participating arts organizations and is poised to build the business in a more substantive way. The person working in this position will play a key role in helping to grow the business. Presently, this is a part-time contract opportunity (21-25 hours / week). As the business grows, we hope to transition the successful candidate into a permanent, full-time employee.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Outreach

Research potential ticketing clients

Reach out to new potential partners, communicate the features and benefits of Artspoints, schedule meetings

Liaise with participating arts organizations on upcoming events and maintain communications schedule

Develop and execute key B2B initiatives and communication plans that highlight the program’s benefits, build awareness and engage the professional arts community

Attend community networking events as a representative of Artspoints Rewards

Communications

Update website, ensuring content is current and features up-to-date performance and exhibition information from arts partner organizations. Curate content in order to provide balanced coverage of all arts partner organizations and to help motivate Members to visit the website more often

Develop and execute promotional campaigns in order to build awareness of Artspoints Rewards and the benefits of membership in order to generate a steady increase in new Members

Write blog posts and other articles that promote partner events, benefits and successes of the program

Provide back-up customer service support to patrons needing assistance when purchasing tickets

Develop bi-weekly email campaigns for Members and newsletter subscribers promoting concerts, exhibitions, events and special offers from arts partner organizations

Other duties as required

Social Media

Liaise with arts partners regarding marketing material and social media scheduling re: communications agreement

Develop, initiate and schedule all social media content (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) and schedule on Hootsuite for purposes of tracking social media activity

Social media: active posting, commenting and sharing of partners’ content. Monitor followers / unfollowers, Twitter analytics, etc.

Attend partners’ performances, live tweet and post content from event

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Degree / diploma in marketing, or related experience required

Excellent communication skills (written and oral)

Detail-oriented, with effective project management skills

Proficient on all social media platforms and able to generate ongoing content (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)

Sales experience a definite asset

Experience working in the arts an asset

Strong computer skills

Comfortable meeting and making presentations to clients

Independent self-starter, with the ability to work in a small team

Personable, presentable and articulate

Strong networking skills
