Development Manager
Armco Capital Inc., a privately owned group of companies and one of Atlantic Canada’s largest real estate development and property management companies, is searching for a Development Manager to join the Community Development Group . This position is located in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Reporting to the Director of Development and Sales, this position is responsible for overseeing the daily development operations associated with construction projects to achieve corporate performance objectives. In addition, the Development Manager is responsible for management of land development projects, contract negotiations, engineering design recommendations, scheduling, budgeting recommendations and project management. In addition to being a highly motivated, analytical, results orientated individual, the successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Professional engineer registered with APENS or eligible to be registered
• Degree in Civil Engineering preferred
• A minimum of 5 years related experience in land development/construction management
• Understanding of Municipal Infrastructure and municipal approvals
• A forward thinker who thinks outside the box and challenges the status quo
• A proven track record of effectively handling multiple projects simultaneously as well as an ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, complex environment
• Strong communication skills, including demonstrated ability to present insights and actionable recommendations in a concise and persuasive manner to internal and external contacts/clients
• Strong organizational and follow up skills
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolutions skills
• Possess Excellent Project Management skills
