This position reports to the Services Supervisor and is responsible for the following duties:

Must be able to perform Service Group work requirements in harmony with other employees

Maintains safety standards at all times and initiates and follows emergency procedures when necessary

Performs manual labor supporting operations and maintenance activities, such as cleanup, hauling and stacking materials, and assisting skilled or semi-skilled crafts in the performance of their tasks

Must operate equipment according to company policy and safety regulations. This equipment includes: gravel truck, vacuum truck, loader, backhoe, dozer, grader, haul truck, bus, and skid steer

Must be responsible for proper care and maintenance of all company tools, equipment, and chattels

Efforts and Demands:
Must be able to work alone or with others with a minimum supervision

Must be able to perform all labour requirements associated with open-pit mining operations and construction activities

Follow work schedules and daily job requirements in an effective manner

Ability to perform shift-work

Maintain company safety and other policies at all times

Other duties and assignments are required by the department and assigned by the Services Supervisor

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:
Must have experience operating heavy equipment. Preference will be given to those with experience on Cat equipment.

Valid Class 1A driver’s license preferred, with the ability to operate standard shift transmissions

Carpentry and building maintenance experience is an asset

Experience with large Komatsu excavators and loaders is considered an asset

Place of Work:
McClean Lake Mine site

7 days in and 7 days out rotating schedule

Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside of normal working hours is frequently required

Saskatoon, Prince Albert, La Ronge, Buffalo Narrows and the designated communities in the Athabasca region of Camsel Portage, Uranium City, Stony Rapids, Fond du Lac and Wollaston
