Aquassure Accessible Baths are accessible bathing experts. We pioneered and developed many of the products and features used in accessible baths across the market. We have a head office in Kelowna, but sell to the US and Canada. Our mission is to match the right bathing solution to the needs of seniors, disabled individuals and companies that sell to this market. We have hundreds of showers, and accessible bath models. We also have a vast line of ADA compliant bathroom accessories, such as shower seats and grab bars.

Student Summer Job – Marketing & Communications Assistant

Working under the direction of our marketing manager and our in-house graphic artist/web designer, the marketing and communications assistant will have a wide variety of duties. The marketing and communications assistant will be responsible for

  • Updating social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and LinkedIn.
  • Writing and uploading Blog posts.
  • Updates to e-commerce on our website (using WooCommerce) and ecommerce portals like Amazon and Ebay.
  • Updating web content.
  • Putting together targeted customer lists and sending out information packages.
  • Writing newsletters and managing them through MailChimp.
  • Printing in-house marketing materials and mailing out using Canada Post EST online.
  • Tracking and correspondence related to customers and leads.
  • Supportive administration tasks for the marketing and purchasing departments, which may involve some reception and filing.
  • Create presentations in PowerPoint and reports, as needed.
  • Organizing trade show/event details and promotions.
  • PR activities.
  • Sales support activities.
  • Helping with photo and video shoots and editing.

Skills needed:

  • Computer skills including Excel, Word, social media platforms, WordPress, MailChimp.
  • Excellent organization and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Strong writing skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Good at working with a small team as most tasks require collaboration and scheduling.
  • Ability to be discrete and sensitive about people with disabilities and medical challenges.

Other requirements:
This is a summer student position, and to be eligible, the applicant must:

  • be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
  • have been registered as full-time students in the previous academic year and intend to return to school on a full-time basis in the next academic year
  • be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection ActFootnote2 for the duration of the employment
  • have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations

Other:

  • Must be willing to share an office with our office cat, Emma.
  • 30 – 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
