Apex Life Sciences is currently hiring a Lab Technician for a 6-month contract at a leading global food manufacturing company in Camrose, AB.

Responsibilities

• Assessment of cross checks, raw materials, calibration, maintenance, food safety
• Auditing and oversight of analytical testing performed in control rooms
• Data analysis, trend identification, troubleshooting, corrective action, and communication with regard to processing data, final product, and wastewater
• Assure product meets compliance specifications and approval checks
• Miscellaneous job related duties as assigned (process improvement projects, document modifications, etc)

Requirements

• Chemical Technologist Diploma or Bachelor’s in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Food Science
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Working in a fast-paced work environment with strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills both verbal and written
• Previous food industry / GMP experience is a strong asset
