Apartmate is a new web platform that connects people who are looking for somewhere to live with people who have a place for rent. Our users will include landlords, real estate agents, tenants, and roommates. We’re based in Toronto, near Queen and Spadina. We are excited about the service we’ve built and are launching very soon!
We’re looking for someone to manage our social media accounts, write SEO-optimized compelling content and grow our online community presence. This would be a great position for anyone interested in pursuing a career in marketing or PR. You will work alongside the founder and have a direct influence on the direction of Apartmate.
We are an early-stage start-up; this is an unpaid, part-time position for 2-3 days/week. You’ll be joining a young talented team, will develop a great portfolio of your own work, and leave with lots of connections.

Responsibilities:
*Write blogs, articles, press releases, and posts for our social media accounts.
*Perform key word analysis and make sure content is optimized for SEO, building back and internal linking within our site and to & from authoritative sources.
*Identify journalists, bloggers and key opinion leaders who cover our space and help develop pitches for them.
Requirements:
*Self-directed & self-motivated, seeking out social media strategies and trends that will contribute to our social media growth and engagement.
*Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
*Excellent attention to detail
*Interested in apartment rentals, roommates and urban communities.
*Digitally savvy, especially familiar working with Twitter & Facebook in a professional context.
*Enthusiastic about learning about social media changes, trends, statistics and any impact these changes have on our clients’ campaigns
*Experience with marketing analytics, or digital agencies would be wonderful, but not required.
