Our enterprise client is located in downtown Edmonton and is seeking an experienced Data Architect to help with the design and organization of data and information management components. Workload will include the continuing design and development of the Information Management strategy and also involve the architecture of how the strategy is implemented.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide advice and consulting services regarding data management strategies, data architecture
• Consult with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis
• Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and estimates pertaining to architectural deployment and services delivery
• Assist in developing task lists and resource assignments within the context of architectural planning
• Document technical recommendations; provide technical advice and guidance to management, operations and project team members and within shared IT services
• Ensure change management processes are followed
• Make recommendations to project team members pertaining to issues, risks and client satisfaction
• Provide tracking and reporting of time and status on all work as required

Mandatory Skills

• Experience working as an Data Architect in an enterprise IT environment (5 years)
• Experience designing, planning, implementing, documenting and supporting enterprise solution databases (5 years)
• Experience with Enterprise Architecture and all associated best practices, methods, standards, tools, policies, and processes (5 years)
• Experience with any of the following business intelligence and performance management products – Cognos BI Suite, Microsoft SQL Server Services, MS Power BI (Query, View) or MicroStrategy (5 years)

Start : July 2016

Duration : Contract to June 2017
