Major responsibilities are listed but not necessarily limited to the following duties:

Provide application of product technology to create cost effective, technical solutions for customer proposals for the PKP Drying Group for its Lachine Office.

Preparation of technical and costing content of customer proposals and maintenance of application/proposal tools and data (Proposal masters, cost database, etc.)


Reviews and analyses customer’s RFQ’s.

Applies design concepts and product standards to create technical solutions to customer’s needs

Performs process and equipment sizing to optimize product cost and function for customer proposals.

Prepare complete proposals content for aftermarket rebuilds

Calculate total cost estimates for proposals

Maintain product costing database from project feedback and purchasing inquiries

Updates proposal masters and standards and creates new ones when required.

Updates proposal/CRM database.

Respond to customers inquiries and follows up on proposals and sales leads with customer.

Project management for larger aftermarket projects

Work is primarily conducted in an office and will be required to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, up to at least 25 lbs. Position requires visual acuity, manual dexterity, good coordination, ability to endure extended work hours when required, and work safely and efficiently at all times.

Some travel will be required with occasional site work in a pulp mill environment will be required.

Education and Experience

Candidate should be: A minimum of 7 years’ experience working in a mechanical/engineering environment.

Proficient with a PC (to include Microsoft Products; Excel, Word, knowledge of SAP is an asset, self-motivated with excellent organizational skills.

Candidate must continually meet the quality standards of ANDRITZ.

Proficiency in both written and spoken English and French is required. knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese an asset,

Have the ability to learn and retain multiple skills & tasks.

Additional requirements: Prioritization of workload, detail oriented, possess good written and verbal communication (at all levels),

Self-motivated, good team worker and interpersonal skills.

Familiarity to legal documents (i.e., terms and language) will be an asset.

Knowledge of pulp & paper industry / customer will be an asset.

Project management experience is an asset.
