For more than 45 years, only World Courier has delivered the unsurpassed knowledge, global reach and flawless supply chain execution needed to become the most trusted specialty logistics company in the world.     Reporting Information/Location This Driver- Part Time is located at 6491 Northam Drive, Mississauga, ON, L4V 1J2   Schedule Flexibility in work schedule – We operate 24 hours a day 7 days a week.  We will require overtime, holiday scheduling, and weekend shifts as necessary.     Position Responsibilities The driver’s duty is to safely and efficiently handle World Courier shipments during all pickups and deliveries and to assist with other off site duties including liaising with customs.   Drivers must be able to handle all duties involved in offering premium courier services and have the ability to work under high pressure conditions. The Driver must demonstrate a sense of urgency and determination to help in critical situations. He/she must be at ease dealing with details of logistics and must be flexible to work on different shifts including days, evenings, nights, and on weekends. Drivers must represent World Courier in a professional manner, be customer focused, service minded problem solvers and good team players.   Working Conditions Drivers must have the ability to be self- disciplined and patient as they spend the majority of their day driving and navigating through traffic in order to perform their duties. They must be able to cope with noise, vibration, repetitive motion, all kinds of weather conditions, hazards associated with heavy traffic and physically able to carry out loading/unloading of cargo that may or may not be of hazardous material with or without a lifting mechanism.     Total Rewards Our commitment to our associates includes offering benefit programs that are comprehensive, competitive and will meet the needs of our associates.   Qualifications   General Knowledge and Skills Required

• Driver’s license in good standings.
• Must have a valid passport.
• Physically able to manage various types of packaging.
• General driving knowledge of the city and surrounding area.
• Dangerous Goods training
• TSA training
• Cold chain training
• Live animal handling training
• Temperature monitor training
• Understanding of all applicable Standard Operating Procedures.

  Principle Duties and Responsibilities

• Remaining in constant communication with Dispatch department.
• Accomplish pick-ups and deliveries within the provided timeframe.
• Quality documentation checks.
• Physical inspection of packages for compliance with policies and good condition.
• Following special pick-up and delivery instructions provided.
• Handle onsite customer concerns.
• Assist shippers with packaging.
