As a result of our continuing growth, Alpha Technologies Ltd. has an opportunity for a motivated, customer focused, and detail oriented SERVICE COORDINATOR to join our busy Service Operations group at our Burnaby location.

The Service Coordinator is responsible for managing Service Request Orders (SRO’s) for Depot, Field, and Contract Services from creation to completion. The Service Coordinator is also responsible for assisting customers with product information, and supporting Alpha’s Quality, Technical Support, and Field Service teams.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Build and maintain rapport with key customers
  • Manage enquiries from customers via email and phone
  • Process service orders quickly and accurately within defined quality standards
  • Act as a customer liaison with the appropriate internal departments
  • Manage orders in the company ERP system (Syteline)
  • Maintain and update customer equipment details in Syteline
  • Coordinate and promptly respond to status and expedite requests for repairs within Canada and the United States
  • Coordinate billing and project administration with the Field Services team
  • Gather and relay customer order information to the appropriate internal departments
  • Actively manage repair service orders to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded
  • Execute all duties mindful of the company strategy and key values
  • Provide backup for other customer service staff
  • Perform administrative duties as required

Credentials & Experience:

  • High School graduation
  • Minimum 3 years in service coordination or order management
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; professional telephone etiquette
  • Enthusiastic in providing exceptional customer service
  • Detailed-oriented, coupled with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Demonstrated decision-making skills with the ability to think outside the box to find solutions
  • The ability to handle a diverse and heavy workload
  • The ability to work in cross functional teams
  • The ability to manage conflict successfully
  • Ability to follow complex instructions
  • Experience working in returns and repairs is an asset
  • Computer literate in Outlook, Word, Excel, and database systems (e.g. ERP, MRP, CRM)

Work Environment:

  • Typical hours of work are from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, however, flexibility in working hours will be required to accommodate the various deadlines and circumstances that occur from time to time.
