All Weather Windows Commercial provides supply and install of Curtain Wall, Window Wall, and Commercial Store Front Entry Systems for commercial high rise, commercial industrial, store front, and multi-unit residential apartment and hotel type buildings.

Canadian Insulated Glass (CIG), a Division of All Weather Windows Commercial, manufactures a wide range of specialty glass products for residential and commercial property owners.

We are currently recruiting a Payroll and Benefits Manager . This role will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the payroll process for All Weather Widows Residential , Canadian Insulated Glass and All Weather Windows Commercial . On a managerial level this role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the payroll process for Canadian Insulated Glass, All Weather Windows Commercial and All Weather Windows Residential. The ideal candidate will be an independent self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.

In this position, you will be responsible for:
Mentoring, directing and coaching our residential payroll team

Hiring staff and providing orientation, training and performance management as required

Review, establish and monitor internal controls to ensure that payroll processes are in accordance with legislation as well as company policies and procedures.

Provides advice and guidance on all payroll matters including payroll systems, record keeping, analysis, and reporting

Ensuring Payroll processes are streamlined and finding efficiencies where possible

Responsible for centralized payroll processing for a multi-location payroll for salaried and hourly employees

Administering employee deduction processes, garnishee payments and court ordered payments as required

Processing irregular payments such as salary adjustments, incentive payments, etc.

Ensuring that payroll is processed in accordance to applicable Employment Standards legislation

Acting as a Payroll and Benefits Subject Matter Expert in any and all future technological changes related to Payroll administration (ie implementation of new systems, upgrades, and/or consolidation of systems related to acquisitions)

Planning and implementing new year updates to regulatory deductions to meet implementation dates (e.g., WCB, EI, CPP)

Coordinating processing of year end activities in a timely manner including taxable benefits, T4’s and T4A’s balancing quarterly for accuracy.

Ensures timely enrollment and de-enrollment of employee coverage under group benefit plans.

Provides support for employees or employees families regarding benefits including CPP and life insurance.

Maintains current knowledge of federal and provincial statutory regulations (including Construction Employment Standards) and remittances related to payroll and benefits and adjusts payroll policies and procedures accordingly

Ensures sensitive payroll and employee information is kept in strict confidence

Other duties as required

Primary Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma plus completion CPA PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) Certificate Program, or equivalent work experience. Additional certification, or working towards completion of CPM certification (Certified Payroll Manager) is a definite asset.

Experience within a leadership capacity a must.

Involvement or leadership role with payroll system selection, implementation and upgrades would be an preferred

Experience using Quickbooks for payroll a strong asset.

Proficient in MS Excel, Word and reporting software (e.g., Crystal Reports).

A minimum of 3 – 5 years previous payroll experience is required, including independent management of a medium scale payroll in a multi-jurisdiction environment.
