one individual for the position of
LIQUOR STORE MANAGER
St. Stephen – Store 6 (English)

The Position : The Liquor Store Manager is
responsible for the operation of a retail liquor outlet that supply beverage
alcohol products to the general public, licensees and agents appointed by the
Corporation. This leadership position will be responsible for the delivery of
the best retail customer experience leading an engaged team in a unionized
environment. The liquor store manager works closely with their team on
enhancing customer service through coaching and excels in executing on
merchandising standards. The ability to meet financial targets, and managing
the execution of social responsibility programs are key aspects of this
position while reporting directly to the District Manager.

Creating a Customer Service &
Sales Culture by leading and improving store processes that enhance the
Engaging employees by creating a
compelling work environment that fosters pride of ownership
Enforcing internal controls that
support social responsibility
Driving store and employee
performance by achieving results personally and through teams
Setting performance expectations and
coaching employees toward success
Improving profitability by managing
Evaluating, developing and
implementing retail related process improvements
Complying with appropriate laws,
acts, regulations and/or guidelines including Corporation policies and
procedures, relevant portions of the Liquor Control Act, and the New Brunswick
Liquor Corporation Act, Non-Bargaining Personnel By-law, and the Collective
Work involves the ability to
establish and maintain effective working relations with fellow employees and
direct contact with the general public while complying with ANBL’s obligations
under the NB Official Languages Act.
A post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field is required
i.e.: certificate or degree from an accredited educational institution,
community college or university.
Previous retail management, packaged goods and project management
experience is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive retail management
experience. Proven ability to lead,
develop and sustain a successful, cohesive retail sales team at store level is critical.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to provide direction and
coaching to team members as well as an ability to manage and develop a group of
to lead change with creativity and establish new performance practices
Effective formal presentation, communication and interpersonal
Written and spoken competence in English is required. Bilingualism
is an asset.
Solid detail orientation, organizational and analytic skills.
Must have ability to deal accurately with
numerical and alphabetical detail and the ability to adapt and resolve
Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Ca ndidates selected to compete for this position will be

complete various selection assessments to a standard acceptable to ANBL.
