To be based at Retail Operations Center,
The Position : ANBL is seeking a
team oriented individual to fill the position of Intermediate Accountant at our
Retail Operations Center located in Fredericton, NB. Reporting to the Manager of Financial
Services, the Intermediate Accountant will be responsible for providing support
to the Manager of Financial Services in the day-to-day accounting function.
The Intermediate Accountant’s key accountabilities include
but are not limited to; providing accounting for the period, quarterly and year
end reporting processes, including the annual audit. This position has responsibility for preparing
period end closing entries, detailed variance analysis for our operational
units, period end general ledger account reconciliations, Corporation insurance
coverage, inventory analysis, participate in the annual budgeting process,
Beverage Container Deposit analysis, point of sale contact in Finance and
participation in continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
Business degree with a concentration in finance
or accounting or an equivalent combination of education may be considered
Accreditation as a CPA under the Chartered Professional
Accountants of Canada or in the final stages of pursing a CPA designation would
be an asset
Minimum of three years of work experience in a related role
Familiarity working with an accounting application such as GP
Dynamics would be an asset
Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite including Word and
Must possess strong analytical, and organizational skills with
high focus on attention to detail
Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced, timeline
sensitive and results-driven environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
