Salary Range: $40,860 to $49,272 per annum

APS is recruiting for a Mail and Reception Clerk.

Reporting to the Manager, Administration, this individual is responsible for the daily tasks
related to gathering and disseminating mail as well as mail preparation, scanning and quality
assurance of all documents to ensure long-term retention and preservation in a digital format. In
addition, the Mail and Reception Clerk is the first point of contact for APS. This position greets,
assists and directs clients, senior executives, board members, staff and the general public as
well as operation of a multi-line switchboard.


  • High School Diploma or equivalent with one year directly related experience; or
  • A minimum of two years directly related experience.
  • Records management courses or certification would be considered an asset.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven interpersonal, and verbal and written communication skills;
  • Consistent professionalism with the ability to work with internal and external customers;
  • Able to interact with callers and visitors in a professional and friendly manner, and

occasionally handle difficult people;

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Comfortable with the use and

maintenance of printers, scanners and other office equipment with the ability to read and
apply troubleshooting procedures;

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Able to work in a team setting with minimal supervision as well as make decisions as they

relate to the daily activities; and

  • Able to work with sensitive and confidential information on a continuous basis.
