The incumbent will: Gather, analyze, synthesize and where necessary coordinate leading practices, quantitative and qualitative data to inform recommendations leading to the development of provincial strategic plans and new approaches to care delivery; Work with AMH SCN™ team to complete AMH SCN™ functions to support the Transformational roadmap, implementation and evaluation of projects, challenge dialogue, capability assessment, mining for innovation and core committee requirements, as required. Develop and present innovative approaches to address system issues with sustainable solutions; Guide evaluation of AMH SCN™ activities and development of performance measures/targets in concert with others; Carry out the quality and planning related functions identified by the AMH SCN™ priority projects/ initiatives; Link with appropriate departments within AHS to coordinate access to available services.

Required Qualifications:

A minimum of a Master’s degree in a health related field with a background/knowledge in addiction and/or mental health. A minimum of 5 years experience in quality improvement, business development, knowledge management, or research in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity is preferred. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development.

Additional Required Qualifications:

In addition, the incumbent will possess a record of accomplishment in the following areas: Extensive knowledge of the health system. Demonstrated working knowledge of quality improvement, research methods, systematic reviews, business case development, service planning and critical appraisal skills. Strong facilitation and mediation skills. Experience managing physical and human resources and related financial / statistical information. Significant experience in problem solving, concerns resolution, investigation, and negotiation. Team leadership skills, including demonstrated ability and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others. Demonstrated ability to foster relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influential skills, client focused orientation and commitment to providing quality services; ability to relay or explain complex issues or difficult situations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous clinical experience in Addiction and Mental Health. A clinical designation is preferred.
