As a Research and Planning Officer, you will provide data and information in response to complex queries from clients across all levels (e.g., interdisciplinary project teams, operational management teams and other AHS analysts). Consultations are conducted with clients to fully understand and define the service/query/information requested, determining the appropriate methodology, data types and sources to use. You will complete the research and statistical analysis to provide interpretations and recommendations, and present the findings/information in the format requested.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of master’s degree in a related field (e.g. community health sciences, health economics, biomedical statistics, epidemiology, quality assurance).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Project management professional designation and/or relevant education, skills, and experience required. Minimum of three years program/project management experience is required. Recent experience in project planning, coordination and leadership required. Knowledge in change management methodologies is required. A strong background in business process design, and experience in applying business process is required. Must have understanding of models and tools for process/quality improvement. Excellent oral and written skills are required. Adaptability and flexibility in a changing environment is required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Visio is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, leadership skills, relationship development, and support quality improvement within Public Health. Adaptability and flexibility in a changing environment is required. Must work well in a team as well as be self-directed to work independently. Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Public/community health experience. Experience in planning and executing focus groups and group facilitation, data analysis and/or research. Experience utilizing qualitative and quantitative evaluation methods, administering evaluation and quality assurance instruments for data collection, writing evaluation reports, and leading research utilization projects. A combination of skills and experience may be considered. Experience in eClinician, Meditech, Tableau, and reporting tools.
