Working within a collaborative team environment, this position is recognized as a key role in HR Shared Services to effectively administer pension policies, contracts, programs and procedures. The incumbent is expected to provide transactional support for Covenant Health in matters that are critical for the timely and accurate processing and administration of the pension plans. The incumbent is also responsible for participating in executing and supporting the team’s quality assurance processes, reconciliation’s, and audits to ensure data integrity and accuracy. The successful candidate will provide a high level of customer service to employees, colleagues and team member’s, on other internal stake holders.

  • As part of the Pension Team, you will have the knowledge and ability to perform daily processing tasks related to retirements, terminations, enrollments, buybacks and other legislated and policy driven requirements
  • You will also have the ability to perform tasks related to Year End processing, record correction, reconciliation and audits
  • Contribute and participate on projects/teams relating to system implementation or upgrades, and process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of pension administration
  • Communicates and interact with the Pension Administration team, and other HRSS teams to ensure business processes are aligned

Qualifications:

  • 2 years previous pension experience in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity and with a legislated pension plan is required
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and issue resolution skills, along with strong math skills in order to deal with complex calculations and theories
  • Previous experience in a PeopleSoft or other HR Information System’s in required
  • Excellent communication and organizational skill required
  • Ability to function independently in a high demand, multi-tasking environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Working towards a CEBS designation is an asset
  • Ability to be a part of a positive team and willingness to help others out in different department within Shared Services
