The Admin Support III provides a wide range of clerical support for the pediatric cardiology clinic and program. They are responsible for the review and preparation of outpatient records for clinic visits. They provide registration and booking services for the pediatric cardiology clinic. This position reports to the Unit Manager of the Pediatric Cardiology Ambulatory Clinic.

Duties include:
– Prepares patient records and requisitions for diagnostic tests for outpatient clinics. Scans documents into the EMR system.
– Registers patients, verifies vital statistics, and assists with patient and telephone triage (must have knowledge of patient registration).

Performs accurate entry of patient follow-up waitlist information.

Works closely with the clinic nurse to prioritize and complete urgent bookings and track physician waitlists to ensure patients are booked in a timely fashion and clinics are booked to capacity.

Qualifications:

– Pediatric Cardiology registration experience required.
– Previous experience in a health record department, clinic, or Physician’s office is an asset.
– Medical administration certificate is required.
– Knowledge of eClinician, tandem, excel and Microsoft office is required.
– Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced team orientated environment is an asset.

Approximately one month training is required to bring the employee to a full working level.
