About the opportunity**

The Operations Clerk will be responsible to maintain documentation, maintain records and coordinate receipts and shipments in accordance with established procedure using computerized and manual systems accurately and completely.

Key Responsibilities: **

  • Develop full understanding of Warehouse Management System
  • Prepare order documentation, resolve receiving discrepancies and reconcile all receipts
  • Create shipping notices and other receiving documents in accordance with established procedures
  • Troubleshoot receipts issues
  • Deal with depots and drivers in a professional manner
  • Identify and prioritize those issues requiring escalation to the plant manager and operations manager
  • Carry out a thorough shift hand off in accordance with established procedures
  • Identify and record any issues relating to product, processes and/or quality
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Identify issues that can affect customer service and assist in finding resolution
  • Entering data into excel spreadsheets/Systems with completeness and accuracy
  • Identify and record any issues relating to product, processes and/or quality

Education and experience requirements**

  • Completion of secondary (high) school or equivalent
  • 1-3 years’ experience in a shipper/receiver role and familiarity with warehouse management systems
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong organization, analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced work environment
