Title: Human Resources Leader – Maternity Leave position

Terms of Employment: Full Time – Temporary (approx. 1 year)

Salary/Wage: $20/hr DOE

Job Description:

An efficient HR Leader provides a strong foundation to ATG. They oversee the working of the staff and ensure that the recruiting, process’ and records of the office are managed efficiently.

The ATG HR Leader has a wide range of responsibilities to carry out. From supervising the work of the office staff, to designing and implementing the various policies of the ATG office. The overall responsibility is to ensure the smooth running of our office and to coordinate work between the various departments. Besides possessing the technical know-how, the ATG HR Leader should have excellent communication skills, organizational skills and good leadership qualities.

Job Requirements:

Supervisory Responsibilities: The HR Leader assigns and regulates clerical and secretarial functions. They delegate responsibilities among the staff and ensures that no staff member is overloaded with work. It is also their responsibility to ensure the staff works efficiently. They also help to determine the salaries and the working conditions of the employees. The HR Leader evaluates, assesses and manages the performance of each employee and plays a crucial role in their advancements.

Recruitment and Training: Our product is outbound staff, so there is always a need for more staff as we grow. It is HR who oversees the entire selection and recruitment procedure of the new candidates. It is her/his responsibility to undertake the training and orientation procedure of new employees so that they are well-versed in the office policies, procedures and equipment. It is the responsibility of HR to devise training programs for the employees and plans for such sessions to be conducted.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Updating health safety policies and ensuring that they are being adhered to.
  • A number of deadlines are associated with this position which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Handling customer and outbound techs complaints and inquiries.
  • Resolving any interdepartmental and personal disputes in the office.
  • Making sure that the various departments in the office communicate with each other.
  • Implementation of new Benefits programs
  • General office and administrative duties

Qualifications:

· 2 years of direct experience in Human Resources

· Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration majoring in HR or related

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Excellent phone, time management and multi-tasking skills

· Excellent interpersonal skills combined with strong customer service orientation

· Advanced experience in MS Office programs including Excel, Word and PowerPoint

· General Knowledge of HR practices

· Ability to handle confidential materials in a professional manner

· Ability to work on multiple projects within established deadlines and time constraints, supporting a variety of individuals

· Strong drive to take on new initiatives and learn new skills

¬ Knowledge of or interest in the Aircraft Industry an asset

¬ Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM programs preferred

¬ Understanding of British Columbia legislative requirements that pertain to employment such as the Human Rights Code of Conduct and Employment Standards Act, would be an asset.

Please Note: This is a Maternity Leave Replacement – Term Position up to 14 months.
